Arlene earned a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from Western Michigan University,
and completed one year of graduate study at Florida State University, also in Flute Performance.
She has performed with the Saginaw Symphony Orchestra (subbing for first principle flutist Mary Anderson); the Faculty Orchestra at F.S.U. (by special invitation); and has played & recorded with
Flute Fusion, a professional flute trio/quartet.

She was also blessed with four incredible summers at Interlochen’s National Music Camp.
Mrs. Renico taught private and group lessons at Marshall Music in Grand Rapids, MI (12 yrs);
Flute Boutique (1+ yrs); and runs a studio out of her home. She is currently employed as an assistant to the director of bands—Darren LaPrise—at West Catholic High School and Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, working with students in grades five (5) through twelve (12).

She is an active member of the National and West Michigan Flute Associations;
is a registered Suzuki Flute instructor; and is an honorary member of the national music honor society,
Pi Kappa Lambda.
