Annaliese Kowert

Annaliese Kowert is an experienced Suzuki teacher with a philosophy based on joy and the pursuit of excellence. She understands this year brings particular challenges to students and can teach them in a way that prioritizes safety and well-being. Originally from Madison, WI, she began her own training at age four with the Suzuki Method, later receiving her bachelor’s degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music and her Master’s in violin performance from Stony Brook University. She has years of experience both as a teacher and as a performer; she is currently on furlough from the Nashville Symphony. She believes strongly in the power of music to transform minds young and old.

Annaliese has had the opportunity to train with some wonderful teacher trainers through book 6 and believes community is a vital part of a musical education. While her approach is individualized, she tries to nurture a love of curiosity and learning in all of her students. She teaches all ages, and hopes her students develop a lifelong relationship with music.
