Anna holds M.M. in Piano Pedagogy and B.S. in Music Education degrees from Bob Jones University. She has also completed SAA Teacher Training Violin Units 1-4. Anna has over 14 years of experience as a music educator and is an active performer and accompanist for recitals, weddings, church services, and other local events. Anna taught private and group classes at Piano Central Studios in Greenville, SC for four years. She also taught general music classes at the Master’s Academy of Fine Arts and group violin classes for the Suzuki Talent Education Program in Atlanta, GA. Anna directed a Youth String Orchestra for two years, and founded the Soli Deo Gloria Strings Quartet in the Atlanta area. Her students have placed in the regional Kiwanis Talent Contest and National Federation of Music Clubs. Anna played violin with Fountain Inn Symphony Orchestra, DeKalb Symphony Orchestra, Cobb Symphony Orchestra, and Georgia Philharmonic. She holds professional memberships with the Suzuki Association of the Americas (SAA), Suzuki Association of South Carolina (SASC), and Music Teachers National Association (MTNA). She also served one term as president of the Collegiate chapter of MTNA at BJU and has presented a workshop on the ensemble music of Gurlitt at the Greenville SCMTA teacher’s meeting. Currently she is the secretary for the Upstate SASC and on the state board of teachers.
