Ann Viviano began her music studies during 4th grade in Winona, MN taking lessons at school and with Betsy Neil, a fiddler with the folk band the Buffalo Gals. During high school Ann studied classical violin technique at the College of St. Teresa’s and served as principal second violin with the College of St. Teresa’s Orchestra. After taking a number of years off to peruse a career in accounting, Ann rejoined the music community and studied fiddle with Brian Wicklund (author of the American Fiddle Method). Ann went on to play with a number of local Celtic, Folk and Rock bands before returning to classical studies. Ann competed Every Child Can and Books 1 & 2 Training at the Colorado Suzuki Institute and completed book 1-4 training at the University of Minnesota with Mark Bjork. She currently serves on the boards of the Suzuki Association of Minnesota and MacPhail Suzuki Association and teaches Suzuki and fiddle out of her South Minneapolis studio.
