Teaching Viola and Violin in Rochester, MN.

Ángel M. Falú-García began lessons at age ten at the Youth Symphony Orchestra Program POSJU in Puerto Rico. At age fifteen, he began studies at the former Special Strings Program for Young Musicians at the Music Conservatory in Puerto Rico. Falú has performed in master classes for Kimberly Fredenburgh, David Aaron Carpenter, Martha Baldwin, Kyla Pots, Katherine Murdock, Alan Bodman, Steven Tenenbom, and Patricia McCarty.  He has also performed in chamber master classes for members of the Emerson String Quartet, the Orion String Quartet, Laura Silverman, the Silk Road Ensemble, Eric Larsen, and Joseph Silverstein.

As a freelance artist, Falú has performed in numerous cities to include: The US Virgin Islands, Guadalajara MX, Santo Domingo DR, San Juan PR, Akron and Green OH, Westport NY, Burlington NC, Portland and Newberg OR, Faribault and Rochester MN.

In 2013, he joined the Suzuki Association of the Americas. Since then, he’s completed several units in Violin and Viola pedagogy. Currently, Falú teaches Suzuki Viola and Violin at his studio located in downtown Rochester. He’s also been guest clinician in various strings workshops at cities including Mexico City MX, Burlington NC, Portland OR, Lanesboro MN, and San Juan, PR.

Falú holds a Bachelor’s degree in Viola Performance from the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music and a Master of Music degree from the University of Akron.
