I’m a Suzuki guitar instructor at Suzuki Stumptown, in NE Portland, OR who spent 3 years working as a Music Editor for a publishing company and 7 years teaching General Music and Band to grades K–12 in Oregon Public Schools. I enjoyed my previous jobs but I’m most passionate about instilling people (especially young people) with a love for playing guitar. I love teaching the Suzuki method because I find the method’s “learning music the way you learn your native language” design especially effective for helping me realize my passion.

In addition to teaching, I also work as a Guitar Accompanist, am a published arranger for Hal Leonard & Oregon Catholic Press, and serve on the Board of Directors for Classical Revolution PDX, a non-profit whose mission is to make classical music performance accessible to all performers and concert-goers.

I’m happy to have invested in the Suzuki method and am eager to work with families who already believe in the approach or families new to the method who want to give it a try. I also enjoy using the Suzuki method to teach adults. Families and Adult Learners are invited to visit my page at the Suzuki Stumptown website.
