Nova Scotia violinist Amy Spurr-Caveney has found her way to multiple stages across Canada and Mexico. Recently, Amy premiered and performed a new work Violin Concerto by Jordon O’Connor. 

Amy has over ten years of experience teaching and enjoys sharing her love of music with students of all ages. She has taken her violin/viola Suzuki Book One and Two teacher training. On top of private students, Amy has taught several group lessons and given a masterclass internationally. 

Also an avid orchestral musician, Amy has performed among several orchestras, including Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra, London Symphonia, Windsor Symphony Orchestra, and Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra. In 2017, she was invited to be a guest chamber musician in Mexico, at the Festival Internacional de Musica and Fesitval de Febrero, where she performed in several concerts and played on live television. 

Amy holds degrees from Memorial University of Newfoundland and the University of Toronto.
