Amanda is originally from Taiwan.
While studying music in the states, Amanda was constantly moved by the love of music from her instructors. Having played piano since the age of 5 and having won and passed various competitions and examinations, she is familiar with the “Asian style Sparta training”. However, after moving to the states in 2007, Amanda realized the most effective musical training is simply the enjoyment of music.

While pursuing her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance, Amanda taught privately and was an accompanist for churches and children’s choirs. During her graduate studies, Amanda was also interested in child development as well as a fundamental teaching of woodwind instruments, which has helped her in her own private lessons. Shortly after she received her Master’s degree in Piano Performance in 2016, Amanda has decided to expand her teaching approach by incorporating the Suzuki Method.

Amanda believes encouragement is the key to success and she uses each and every lesson to unlock the endless possibilities for her students.

Amanda’s favorite composers are Robert Schumann, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, and Ludwig van Beethoven.
