I am a Suzuki violin teacher offering lessons to beginner students over Zoom and at my studio in Edmonton.

I teach the Suzuki Method, which is often referred to as the mother-tongue method, because of its emphasis on children learning to play music by ear. Central to the Suzuki teaching philosophy is the belief that all children have talent, and given the right environment and opportunity, can grow musically to a tremendous degree.

The Suzuki Method taps into the mental process that children already experience with language learning. With loving encouragement, parental involvement, listening, repetition, and by learning with others, Suzuki students learn to play beautifully and confidently, while experiencing important life skills such as perseverance, team work, the value of practice, how to build upon skills and self-expression through music.

I strive to help students work to the best of their ability and become accomplished learners that:

- Play with full, expressive tone
- Have a mastery of the Suzuki repertoire, with correct fingering and bowing
- Play with a relaxed posture and clear, focused mind

I currently offer lessons on Saturday mornings, and have space available for new beginners, preferably between the ages of 3 to 8 years old (I love working with little kids). To find out more, please send me a message. I hope to hear from you soon!
