Alexia Luscher, violin, holds both Master and Bachelor of Music degrees in performance from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.  Her teachers include Robert Gerle, Jack Ashton, Hiroko Primrose, and Deborah Moench.  She studied Suzuki violin pedagogy with Cathryn S. Lee, and Music Mind Games (MMG) with creator Michiko Yurko.  

Alexia taught Suzuki violin, beginning viola, chamber music, and music theory in California, MD. Her studio was both online and in person. Before moving to Maryland, she taught Suzuki violin, group, and MMG for Punahou School in Honolulu, HI.  She coached the Hirano string quartet as part of the school’s Chamber Music Program. She also taught co-curricular chamber music and K-1 MMG classes.  Alexia co-directed annual Suzuki Rocks! Spring Workshops. Alexia taught violin, chamber music, orchestra sectionals, Learning & Teaching Concepts of Music, and MMG classes for Brigham Young University—Hawaii and the BYU-H Youth Conservatory. Prior to Hawaii, she taught Suzuki violin and MMG for the Levine School of Music in Arlington, VA. 

Recently, Alexia relocated to Mesa, AZ area where she is building her Suzuki Studio, teaching both in person and online. She has taught at workshops and Institutes in CA, DC, ID, HI, MA, and Shanghai, China.  In her free time she enjoys traveling, swimming, and snorkeling.
