As a child in Maryland I felt an affinity for classical music as my parents often listened to it around the house, but I got a feel for the nature of the violin when my sister Michelle took it up and I got to listen to her practice. I began studying Suzuki with a teacher in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. As a junior and senior at Southern Senior High School I lead the orchestra as concert mistress and attended Peabody Preparatory in Baltimore where I played in preparatory orchestra, in master classes, and private lessons 2002-2006. I continued lessons and chamber ensemble at Syracuse University and graduated in 2009. In 2013, I studied Critical Studies (art theory and critique) at Maryland Institute College of Art and currently reside in Saratoga Springs, NY where I teach from my home. Guiding students in their personal exploration of Suzuki and all classical music is a great inspiration.
