Alex-Anne Troxel is a second generation musician and a third generation youth educator. She received her Bachelor of Music in viola performance in 2014 from Southeast Missouri State University, where she studied with Dr. Brandon Christensen. During her collegiate career, Mrs. Troxel served as principal violist in the Southeast Symphony Orchestra, traveling with them as they performed throughout the United States and China. She was also chosen as a member of the Missouri All-Collegiate Orchestra, and performed as a soloist with the Southeast Strings Chamber Ensemble.

Following a year of apprenticeship in the Southeast Missouri Music Academy, Mrs. Troxel was accepted as a candidate for Suzuki teacher training in 2014. She has completed training for Violin Books I, II, and III with Edward Kreitman, and Book IV with Roger Stieg.

Mrs. Troxel currently holds the position of Music Director at Prodigy Leadership Academy in Cape Girardeau, teaching K-8 general music classes and four levels of violin and viola group classes. She is concluding her sixth year at the Southeast Missouri Music Academy, where she maintains a full studio of violin and viola students ranging in age from three to eighteen as well as co-teaching group classes.

In addition to teaching, Mrs. Troxel enjoys an active performance schedule. She appears regularly with the Saint Louis String Quartet, the Keough String Quartet, and the Matt McCallie Jazz Orchestra.
