My lifelong love of music began at the age of three, when my mom started me in Suzuki piano lessons. I started playing the violin when I was 8. Since then, music has been an integral part of my life.

I have BM and MM degrees in Violin Performance and Pedagogy from BYU, where I studied with Dr. Donna Fairbanks, and an MA in Music Education from Hunter College. I began teaching violin while I was in high school and have continued ever since, improving my skills through education and practice, including teaching undergraduate students while I was at BYU. I have also continued studying and playing the piano, including both solo and accompanimental playing. In the fall, I will begin working on my DMA in music (violin and piano) at the University of Utah.

I have played in an orchestra nearly every year since third grade, including a youth orchestra in Germany when I was in high school, the Utah Valley Symphony, and the Brooklyn Conservatory Community Orchestra (as concertmaster) in New York City. I currently play in the Orchestra at Temple Square.

I accept beginning through advanced-level violin students, including college-level players. I also accept beginning and intermediate-level piano students. I love teaching using the Suzuki method!
