Abigail Vogt has been the Assistant Music Director of the Suzuki Music School of Michiana Inc in Granger, Indiana (SMSM) for over 4 years. In 2014, she founded the JL Christy Solo and Ensemble Contest for home and private school students in the Michiana area. Also in 2014, Abby founded the Plymouth, Indiana branch of SMSM in which she is the coordinator and in the same year she began her SECE training. Abby has been the first violinist for Silver Strings Quartet since 2004. As a Suzuki violin student since the age of 4, she completely embraces the Suzuki philosophy. That may explain why this is her greatest passion in life. For over 11 years she has had the honor to teach children the love of violin. Abby obtained her music performance degree from the Indiana University-SB. She has studied under many accomplished Suzuki trainers consisting of Alice Joy Lewis, Edmuch Sprunger, Terry Durbin, Dorothy Jones, Sharon Jones, Jean Stucky, Geri Arnold, Wendy Azrak, Rebecca Sandrok, and Nancy Jackson. She is also a lifetime SAA member.
