Abby MacNeill

I have been playing the violin since the age of 5 and grew up a “Suzuki kid”. It shaped me into who I am today as the memories and bond I shared with my mother over that time are invaluable. I went on to pursue music in college and graduated with a BA in music from Eastern university in 2009. I studied with members of the world renowned Philadelphia Orchestra. Since then I started my own private studio and have taught hundreds of children the joy of playing the violin and viola. My true joy is seeing a child light up when they can make a beautiful tone. But beyond that, I strive to teach the Suzuki philosophy that what is important is the heart first, ability second. In addition to teaching, I play in several orchestras in the Philadelphia area as well as small chamber groups. I live and teach in Telford, PA with my husband and 3 children.
