Monica Johnston

Monica Johnston, from South Carolina, has been fortunate enough to combine her love of music, teaching, and travel, and is currently teaching both at American School Hong Kong and in her own home studio. She teaches viola, violin, and Music Play. Her dream is to one day have a viola-only studio! Monica’s background in music education and music performance lead her to the Suzuki method. During her time at the University of South Carolina (USC), Monica helped to create the Suzuki Strings at USC program, and is very excited to be living her dream of exploring the world through music. She regularly participates in Suzuki events around the world, through the Suzuki Association of the Americas, the European Suzuki Association, and the Asia Region Suzuki Association.
