Sarah Neham Salz

Sarah holds a BM and MM in piano performance from the University of Miami. She did post-graduate study on harpsichord with Frank Cooper. She studied Suzuki piano pedagogy with Haruko Kataoka of Japan, Bruce Anderson of Florida and many others, and in 2010 became a certified Suzuki Teacher Trainer in Piano. She founded her music studio, The Suzuki Piano School of South Florida in 1986 and continues to personally enjoy teaching her piano students! She directed the Suzuki Institute at the University of Miami from 1992—2001. She and her late husband, guitarist/band-leader/composer/educator/Suzuki guitar teacher, Simon Salz, founded the Young Musicians' Camp at the University of Miami in 2000. This summer camp, founded on our Suzuki principles that every child when nurtured in a rich environment can learn, now hosts about 400 students – from elementary through advanced levels—who come from the US and abroad to study everything from Rock, Jazz, Classical Music, Musical Theater, Songwriting, Chamber Music, Conducting, Music Production, and of course Classical Piano and Guitar! But her most personal joys in life come from her 2 daughters, Naomi and Mitzi, and her dear family and friends!
