Carolyn Borgen

Carolyn Borgen is a string bass teacher at the New Ulm Suzuki School of Music and the Executive Director of the Mankato Area Youth Symphony Orchestra. Carolyn has a Master’s Degree from Saint Mary’s University in Art Administration. She plays bass in a variety of music groups from the Cannon Valley Regional Orchestra, to the Mankato Community Orchestra, to the State Street Theater. Carolyn has received an Emerging Artist grant from Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council and a Suzuki Association of Minnesota Summer Institute Scholarship. She is also the mother to a Suzuki trained budding violinist who will, hopefully, one day consider playing duets with her mom.
