Cellisimo performs at the 2010 Conference awards banquet

Cellissimo

The International Ensembles Committee of Carol Waldvogel and May Ing kicked into high gear on Sunday, May 30, overseeing the needs of Cellisimo, Allegro!!! and Noah Krauss.

The first performance was the Piano Concerto Competition winner, Noah Krauss. Noah was superbly accompanied by the Hartt Faculty and Alumni Orchestra, under the baton of Kirsten Marshall of Ithaca, New York. Noah is a student of Marina Obukovsky.

The spectacular performances by Cellissimo and Allegro!!!, students from the Western Springs Talent Education program, took place later in the evening and were filled with high energy, exquisite musicianship and razzamatazz showmanship. Special thanks to Sally Gross and Ed Kreitman for their outstanding work with these enthusiastic and well-rehearsed groups.

Many thanks are due to all the performers and their teachers for their hard work in preparation for this performance. Thanks also to the rest of our team—Sandra Payton for announcing, Alexander Yudkovsky for piano moving, and Christie Felsing and Pam Brasch for their support and guidance.
