The Suzuki Association of Peru is committed to spreading the Suzuki philosophy throughout the country, including those regions where people are geographically and economically disadvantaged. Our Association sponsors two national workshops during the year, in addition to the annual festivals, in order to provide teachers and their students with ongoing training and support.

The III National Workshop was held in Lima in the National Museum. Local teachers collaborated by donating their time allowing the event to be tuition free. Students, parents and their teachers traveled overnight by bus from Huanuco and Ica to attend: our youngest participant was three-year-old Diego, and our oldest beginner was 65-year-old Francisco, both from Huánuco. Master classes, group classes, music reading classes, parent talks and an Early Childhood Music presentation culminated in an exhilarating final concert in which we heard Vivaldi, Dvòràk and the folk songs from the Book 1 repertoire. Step by step, little by little we continue to nurture the spirit through music: “Alimentando el espíritu a través de la música.”
