Vicki Blechta received a BM in performance from McGill University and a MM in performance from the University of Toronto. Her teachers have included Jeanne Baxtresser, André Jaunet and Louis Moyse. After eighteen years at the Royal Conservatory of Music, she founded the Toronto Flute School in 1998. She was chair of the Suzuki Association of Ontario from 2007-2010. Ms Blechta has performed in Canada and abroad and has been featured in broadcasts for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Radio Canada and the BBC. Her ensemble Musica Viva has toured in Europe and the United Kingdom and released two CDs.
