Nehama Patkin

Nehama Patkin is one of Australia’s most versatile musicians. She has performed concertos with all the Australian Symphony Orchestras as well as with orchestras in Hamburg, Brazil and Hawaii. She has also been a TV and radio broadcaster. Nehama has inspired teachers and students all over the world through both the Suzuki philosophy as well as her knowledge of the Orff, Dalcroze and Kodaly methods. Growing up as a dancer as well as a musician has enabled her to integrate music and movement with ease. Besides having a Master of Music degree, Nehama has been honored with an OAM (Order of Australia Medal), is included in the Who’s Who of Australian Women and is a Victorian Ambassador. She is vice-president of the Victorian Music Teachers’ Association and sits on several other committees. She also produces Family Orchestral Concerts which earned her a Churchill Fellowship in 2003.
