Morganne Aaberg

Morganne Aaberg currently teaches violin at the IU String Academy, and the Indianapolis Suzuki Academy. She was previously on faculty at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, Diller-Quaile School of Music, and Cuyahoga Community College’s Orchestra Program. Morganne taught at several summer festivals, including Midsummer Sound (Barrie, Ontario), and the Meadowmount School of Music (Westport, NY), where she served as teaching assistant to Dr. Ann Setzer (Juilliard/Mannes).
Morganne received her masters degree in violin performance and Suzuki pedagogy from the Cleveland Institute of Music, and her bachelors of music in violin performance from the Mannes School of Music. She also completed two years of Suzuki teacher training at the School for Strings. Morganne is currently working towards a PhD in music education at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music. She hopes to bridge the gap between performance and pedagogy, ensuring that the most gifted performers also become qualified and passionate teachers.
