Kamini Bhargava LaRusso

Kamini Bhargava LaRusso has been teaching Suzuki Violin since 2001. Currently, she teaches Suzuki Violin Group lessons and is the Assistant Director of the MacPhail Center for Music Suzuki program. Kamini grew up in Madison, WI. She attended Colby College in Waterville, ME, earning a bachelor’s degree in music with a violin performance concentration.  She completed her Masters in Suzuki Pedagogy and Violin performance at the University of Denver, CO. After graduating in 2003, Kamini created a Suzuki Violin program within a public school in Littleton, CO at the Centennial Academy of Fine Arts prior to coming to MacPhail Center for Music in 2007. Her major teachers are Marjorie Peters, Teri Einfeldt and James Maurer.   Kamini currently plays in the first violin section of the Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra and performs frequently in MacPhail ensembles  and in community performances. She is a Suzuki violin practice partner to her two children.
