Julie Bamberger Roubik

Julie Bamberger Roubik teaches Suzuki Viola and Violin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She holds a BM summa cum laude, from the University of Minnesota and a MM from the Hartt School of Music, both in viola performance and Suzuki pedagogy. Julie is a an active freelance musician and a member of the Racine, Kenosha and Festival City Symphonies as well as a backup musician for recording artists such as Brad Little, Lorna Luft, Rita Coolidge, Keiko Matsui and Philip Dizack. She works closely with her local schools to advocate for the viola and support their string programs through group lessons and sectionals. Committed to lifelong learning, she is currently pursuing her Dalcroze Certificate at the Dalcroze School of the Rockies. Outside of her musical life, Julie has appeared on the TV show “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman” and was the runner-up on NPR’s quiz show “Ask Me Another.” She can usually be found curled up with a book and one of her six guinea pigs.
