Carolyn McCall Catalano

Carolyn McCall started learning violin in 1966 as a child in John Kendall’s Suzuki program. She earned her BA in music from the University of Illinois and MM in violin from the Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, including long-term Suzuki teacher training with Kendall. Carolyn has lived and taught violin, viola, and music&movement in Austria, Wisconsin, and Illinois. She was a Suzuki parent to her 2 children, now grown. She published many articles and the book “Group Lessons for Suzuki Violin and Viola” and was Coordinator of the 2004 SAA Conference. She taught at workshops and institutes nationally and internationally but now mainly focusses on her Goshen Suzuki Strings program in Edwardsville, Illinois.
