Angie Tung

Born in Taipei, Taiwan, Angie began studying music at age four within the Yamaha Music Education System. She later earned a BA in Music with a certificate in Computers in Music from Florida State University and a MA in Media Arts from Emerson College. Her Suzuki trainers include Caroline Fraser, Mary Craig Powell, Doris Harrel, David Madsen, and Sharon Jones. Complimentary studies include Music Together training with Susan Darrow, Kodaly training with Janell Bjorklund, Dr. Julia Shaw, and Douglas Beam, plus Dalcroze training with Adriana Ausch Simmel. In addition to running Metro Gnome Studio and teaching, she is the Operations Manager at The Education Arcade at MIT. When not at her piano or her computer, Angie enjoys singing, dancing, improvisational cooking, hula hooping, riding art bikes, and being a mom.
