Koen Rens

Koen Rens (Beerse ° 1965), son of composer Wouter Rens, was amongst the first Suzuki students in Belgium, Europe. Suzuki Violin Teacher Trainer for ESA and ARSO

Studied violin, chamber music and psycho-pedagogy in the Conservatories of Bruges, Brussels and Liège. He obtained ESA’s final diploma after 4 years of full time training with Jeanne Janssensn and was appointedc as a teacher Trainer in 2000. He worked as a visiting professor at the Universidad de Alcala de Henares in Madrid, the Grieg Academy in Bergen as well as for the Royal Conservatory of Music in Brussels and the Conservatoire Royal de Liège.

He teaches a thriving studio in the Academy of Music in Turnhout and was invited as guest teacher in Europe, the America’s, Australia and Asia and for several World Conventions. He served many years as a board member and later as Chairman for the ESA.
