Fall Flash Mob

Every October, the Town of Southington holds its ever-growing annual Apple Harvest Festival. The streets are blocked off and fill up with thousands of people. The most popular attraction is the apple fritters. Attendees will stand in line for hours waiting for these little apple donuts. It was a beautiful, sunny day, so I took my group classes outside to perform a Suzuki Play-down: flash mob style. We created a concert stage on every street corner. Our new audience was thrilled and showered our performers with gifts—not the traditional roses on the stage, but balloons and apple fritters. All smiles for a job well done.
