Luke Piscitelli

Luke Piscitelli is a senior at Conard High School in West Hartford, CT. Luke studies violin and viola with Teri Einfeldt at the Hartt School Community Division. During high school, he participated in many musical groups including the Performer’s Certificate Program at the Hartt School of Music. He gave a solo violin performance of the César Franck Sonata at the Song for Haiti Benefit Concert, which was officially proclaimed by the Governor of Connecticut in June 2010. He represented the State of Connecticut in the 2011 MENC All Eastern Festival in Baltimore, MD. Luke served as the principal violist in Northern Regional Festival Orchestra in January 2011 and has been a member of the Connecticut Youth Symphony for the past three years. His quartet has performed at string honors recitals at Hartt and in May 2010 was selected to perform at the Suzuki Association of the Americas National Conference in Minneapolis. Luke placed third in Strings at the Musical Club Competition in 2009. Currently, he is the concert master for I Giovani Solisti, which has won the DownBeat Award for best high school chamber ensemble. Luke plans to minor in music and will continue to enjoy and share his music playing during his college years at the University of Rochester.
