The committee provides support and advice to the Executive Director, ensuring that the SAA meets its mission to, \u201cimprove the quality of life in the Americas through Suzuki education,\u201d and to \u201ccreate a learning community which embraces excellence and nurtures the human spirit.\u201d<br><br>The Suzuki Training Committee (STC) will include 10-20 SAA members who meet the eligibility requirements listed below. We seek individuals willing to volunteer their time, effort, and energy toward making our teacher development stronger. The group meets approximately once per month. Teachers with experience working with digital media and experienced SAA Evaluators are also encouraged to apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">STC Commitments:  <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">STC members are asked to: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Volunteer 2-4 hours per month to the SAA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attend STC Meetings online and in-person (<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1bQy6rm_UBChYCvhuiynEqtPSKDfViM8-Wylm6k8Na_M\/edit?tab=t.0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">see the tentative schedule here<\/a>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attend SAA community gatherings, such as the Leadership Summit, Conference, We Are Suzuki, and the Annual General Meeting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Represent specific instruments or instrument areas and connect with members whose instrument areas fall within your role on STC. Members may also collaborate with any active instrumental committees. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be part of a subcommittee &#8211; see the list of subcommittees below<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work collaboratively with teachers and leaders who may have differing perspectives, opinions, and experiences<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Read and uphold the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/suzukiassociation.org\/news\/saa-community-guidelines-english-espanol\/\">SAA Community Guidelines<\/a>&nbsp;and the SAA\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/suzukiassociation.org\/about\/ethics\/\">Aspirational Code of Ethics<\/a> as befits a representative of the SAA<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ready to Apply?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of the application, you will be asked to <strong>upload your resume<\/strong> and <strong>answer these short essay questions<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What makes you a strong candidate for this committee, and what do you hope to contribute?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What do you believe should be our top priority for the next year?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How do you work in a group setting? How do you navigate differing opinions, and what are some strategies you have for moments when tensions feel high?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>one<\/strong><\/span> of the following questions:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Do our course offerings uphold the vision and philosophy of Dr. Suzuki? How do our courses meet this vision, and how can we improve?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How can we ensure our courses are relevant to teachers&#8217; needs today, while also honoring the history and legacy of the philosophy and Method?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What are the impacts of our online training courses?
