Monarch Suzuki Academy

Monarch Suzuki Academy
Austin, TX

Monarch Suzuki Academy, located in Austin, Texas, offers a variety of Suzuki music classes and experiences, including early childhood music classes, and lessons in violin, viola, cello, guitar, piano, and flute. The director, Shana Guidi, is the founder and past president of the Greater Austin Suzuki Association and a co-director of the Greater Austin Suzuki Institute, a summer Suzuki music camp. At Monarch Suzuki Academy, we are committed to fostering the development of the Austin music community and offer camps, teacher development opportunities, workshops with guest artists, and a variety of other opportunities for students.

It is our mission to further the philosophy of Shinichi Suzuki, who believed that the character and ability of all children can be developed through the appreciation and pursuit of musical excellence. Dr. Suzuki’s purpose was to contribute to the betterment of human kind and world peace by helping children become kind and noble citizens through the study of music. In his own words… “I just want to make good citizens. If a child hears good music from the day of his birth, and learns to play it himself, he develops sensitivity, discipline, and endurance. He gets a beautiful heart.”
