Two-year graduate program covering Violin Units 1-10.

Programs are open to candidates whose major performance areas are violin or viola; two-year residency requirement. String candidates must meet audition requirements expected of all performance degree applicants and are required to attend a teacher training institute during the summer after the first year of residency.

Curriculum includes study of Suzuki philosophy, psychology, parent education, the teaching techniques and repertoire in the Suzuki Method books, plus supplementary literature and technical studies. Supervised teaching opportunities occur in the second year of the program.
