The 11th “Annual” IAM Festival -Indiana’s Suzuki Institute- gives students the opportunity to learn, play and perform in a fun and unique summer camp setting. We invite you and your students to join us in Indy in July.
What happens during the week?
Every day, students attend lessons and classes. Mornings (8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.) are devoted to core music classes – semi-private lessons, repertoire study, orchestra (early reading and advanced), and music theory. Afternoon (1 p.m.- 4:30 p.m.), students have the opportunity to take electives including harp, art, Tae Kwon Do, introduction to Organ, and more!
During the week, well-prepared students perform in our 4:30 p.m. recitals. We also offer a trip to a nearby park for a performance by local professional musicians.
On Thursday evening, students, faculty, and families participate in our Talent Show and Skit Night! Special performances by fiddling and martial arts classes!
Friday is performance day! Students of all ages and abilities may play on a recital, and all of our ensembles and some group classes perform in our final concert. The festival ends with a traditional Suzuki play-in featuring our string students.
