“Exploring Violin Technique: core concepts and fundamental exercises for beginning violinists” will meet from 11:30 AM-1:30 PM Central Time on the following Thursdays: 1/26, 22, 2/9, 2/16, and 2/23.

This course will explore possibilities and provide recommendations to aid teachers in creating a technical curriculum for students. Topics and exercises include scales, arpeggios, shifting, vibrato, string crossing, double stops, fourth finger development, harmonics, and pizzicato.

Daina Volodka Staggs received her Bachelor of Music degree in violin performance at the University of Minnesota. Daina is a registered Violin Teacher Trainer for the SAA, and lives in Frisco, TX, with her husband Jeremiah, and her sons Rokas and Kitas.
