DESCRIPTION:Cello Unit 5 “Leveling Up: Style\, Substance\, and Artistic Voice” marks a significant artistic and technical turning point in Suzuki cello study. We will explore how to develop the singing style\, expressive maturity\, and growing independence in our students as they move fully into the middle‑intermediate repertoire. At this level\, technique and musicianship converge\, and students are challenged to perform with personal commitment\, stylistic awareness\, and refined musical intention. \nWe will discuss the development of efficient practice habits\, musical problem‑solving\, and student ownership of learning. How to establish scale and arpeggio routines\, alongside etudes and supplementary materials\, to reinforce technique within a musical context. \nWe will also discuss the evolving roles of student\, parent\, and teacher during the middle‑intermediate years\, including motivation\, goal‑setting\, performance preparation\, group lesson design\, and maintaining connection to Suzuki philosophy as students assume greater responsibility for their progress. \nYou must be logged in to your SAA account and have Active Membership to join the course roster below.  \nScroll down to the bottom of this page to the enrollment box\, click “+”\, then click “get tickets”.
