DESCRIPTION:This Suzuki Book 3 course will expand on the Philosophical and technical ideas presented in Books 1 and 2 as we work through the repertoire in Suzuki Book 3.   Here students will begin to study advanced left hand techniques of shifting and vibrato.  We will also focus on intentional musical phrasing\, helping the student to move from imitation to thoughtful musical note grouping. \nAsynchronous observations for the course will be done through realviolinlessons.com.  Each course participant will receive a one year subscription as part of their tuition for the course. \nYou must be logged in to your SAA account and have Active Membership to join the course roster below.  \nScroll down to the bottom of this page to the enrollment box\, click “+”\, then click “get tickets”. DESCRIPTION:Book 3 cello will be held online April 6\, 13\, 20\, May 4\, 11\, 18 from 8:30 to 11 Chicago Time (CST/CDT).  The cost is $450 unless you register for the package of Book 2\, and 3 and Teaching Strategies ($900). \nPre-Requisites: \n\nEvery Child Can\nCello Units 1 and 2 and Teaching Strategies (offered separately Feb 23\, March 23\, 30\, and April 27)\nAudition\n\nRequirements:  \n\n100% attendance\n1 book report\n1 wrap-up\n8 hours of observation\nthe practical exam which is playing the book from memory. The practical time may be scheduled outside of class time depending on enrollment.\n\nWhen you pay me\, I will send you the course materials and online access. The plan is to offer books 4 through 8 the following year with a similar schedule.
