DESCRIPTION:Join Suzuki Violin teacher Trainer Stacy Garner as we move beyond the notes on the page. Our study of Suzuki Violin Book 2 focuses on deepening our understanding of tone production while building the technical foundation that supports students as they progress into the upper books. \nThrough guided study\, participants will explore how refined bow control\, balanced posture\, and listening skills shape a resonant\, expressive tone. Emphasis is placed on developing techniques such as shifting and vibrato that are not just correct\, but sustainable and applicable as the students move through the more advanced Suzuki books. \nThe course includes 15 hours of online coursework\, with an additional 8 hours of instructor-provided asynchronous observation required\, which allows participants to analyze teaching in action\, strengthening their ability to identify and nurture healthy technique and beautiful tone in their own studios. \nBy the end of the course\, teachers will have a clearer framework for cultivating tone\, a deeper understanding of Book 2 repertoire\, and a more intentional approach to guiding students toward long-term technical success. \nThis course will be held on Wednesday evenings via Zoom and is perfect for busy teachers\, college students\, and professionals.
