SUMMARY:O Poder do Grupo (Violino)
DESCRIPTION:“O Poder do Grupo” é um curso interativo para professores Suzuki. Ele abordará todos os aspectos do ensino em aulas de grupo\, incluindo como implementar e organizar um programa de aulas coletivas. \nNo curso\, os participantes do workshop não apenas observarão aulas de grupo\, mas também participarão ativamente como membros da turma. O conteúdo abrangerá desde o Pre-Twinkle até o Bach Double\, com muitos exemplos e exercícios para desenvolver a performance dos alunos por meio do poder do ensino em grupo. Os professores também terão a oportunidade de desenvolver um segmento de aula coletiva para apresentar ao grupo e receber feedback sobre sua prática pedagógica. \nO curso apresentará um currículo para Pre-Twinkle\, Twinkle e cada nível de livro (Livros 1 a 4)\, incluindo a exploração de estratégias para manter os alunos engajados ao longo dos níveis avançados e durante a adolescência. \nOs participantes devem ter o seguinte repertório memorizado para participar da classe: \nLivro 1: todas as peças. \nLivro 2: Chorus\, Musette\, Hunters’ Chorus\, Long Long Ago\, Two Grenadiers\, Witches’ Dance e Minuet in G. \nLivro 3: Gavotte de Martini\, Gavotte de Becker e Bourrée de Bach. \nLivro 4: Concerto nº 2 de Seitz\, 3º movimento; Concerto em lá menor de Vivaldi\, 1º movimento; e o Bach Double (qualquer uma das partes). \nYou must be logged in to your SAA account and have Active Membership to join the course roster below.  \nScroll down to the bottom of this page to the enrollment box\, click “+”\, then click “get tickets”. SUMMARY:Kitchen Table String Repairs
DESCRIPTION:Participants will learn about basic string instrument repairs under the guidance of luthier Dalton Potter.  “First watch\, then do” is the basic method for imparting the most commonly performed repair and maintenance procedures. Potential topics covered include how to cut a bridge\, refit friction pegs\, set up fallen soundposts (and how to tell whether they actually fit or not). We will cover tips on installing strings\, tailguts\, basic maintenance\, and analyzing potential repair needs. “Quick-repair” of uneven nuts\, bridges\, and loose fingerboards will be demonstrated. We will also cover gluing open seams and repairing broken necks in inexpensive instruments. Students are encouraged to bring in instruments for close examination and potential repair during the class. \n\nThis course will be offered in-person\nEnrichment course hours will not conflict with regular ASI class hours of 8-11 AM and 1-4 PM CDT\n$40 tuition rebate will be given to teachers who sign up for two Suzuki core units (SECE\, Practicum\, Enrichment\, Teaching Strategies\, and Supplemental courses not included)\n$25 tuition rebate will be given to teachers who sign up for a Unit or Supplemental course and a 10-hour Enrichment or Teaching Strategies course in the same week\nScholarships are available. The American Suzuki Foundation is offering a number of $1\,000 scholarships for in-person training.
