Event Description
This fully hyflex optional Unit 2 course with Tracy Helming Wiggin will include 15 class hours 8 observation hours and a new class schedule format, to give teacher workshop participants more time during institute week to observe, participate in institute events, or simply live their regular lives! Class hours can be completed both online via Zoom or in-person both at the studio of Tracy Helming Wiggin prior to JSSI and at JSSI during institute week! Observation opportunities will be provided via pre-recorded home lessons from trainer and at JSSI during Institute week.

Prerequisite course:
Viola Unit 1, or Violin Unit 1
Audition: Violin Basic, or Violin Intermediate, or Violin Comprehensive, or Viola Basic, or Viola Intermediate, or Viola Comprehensive.
Deadline: All audition materials must be submitted by July 11 *

Trainer Information
Tracy Helming is an active Suzuki Teacher Trainer. She received a Master’s Degree in violin performance from Yale University, and completed registered Suzuki training in all 10 of the violin books, including long term training with Teri Einfeldt at the Hartt School of Music. She is a parent of two children; one is a cellist, the other a ballet dancer. Tracy is dedicated to extending the vision of Suzuki and his philosophy to all students and teachers she meets. She loves exploring the teaching concepts and the musical demands of Bach, Paganini, Kreisler, and the violin concertos and show pieces that await students beyond book 10.
