Additional Schedule InformationEvery Child Can will meet on two consecutive Sunday afternoons from 12:00 noon to 4:30 pm (Eastern Time) with a 30 minute break, on January 31st and February 6, 2022. Participants must attend the full time in order to receive course completion status with the SAA. This course is non-instrument specific and is open to teachers, prospective teachers, parents and administrators.
Event DescriptionEvery Child Can! an introductory course on the Suzuki philosophy and its application to education. For parents, teachers, prospective teachers and others, this course provides an inspiring, in-depth look at the Suzuki approach to teaching and learning. For teachers, ECC serves as the first course in the Suzuki Association of the Americas Teacher Development Program. To learn more, read about the ECC course and its guidelines.

Trainer Information
Now in her 26th year as Executive Director of the Suzuki School of Newton, Sachiko Isihara earned her Bachelor’s in Piano Performance at New England Conservatory and a Master’s in Piano Performance at Juilliard. She has been a member of SAA since 1984. Her Suzuki training includes being a Kenkyusei in Matsumoto in 1993 and a long term apprenticeship with Colette Daltier in France. Sachiko has completed European Suzuki Level 5. In 2008, she became an SAA Suzuki Piano Teacher Trainer. In 2009 Sachiko became the director of Suzuki By the Green Piano Institute in Newton, MA. She is a founding board member of the Newton Cultural Alliance since 2009. She was a 2014 participant of the CAELI Leadership Institute held by the National Guild for Community Arts Education and in 2018 earned the Guild’s Milestone Award. In 2023 she became a member of the Suzuki Training Committee.
