Join us for the 3rd Annual Education for Happiness Virtual Suzuki Institute: August, 1-5, 2022
Students: Violin and Viola
Teachers: Violin, All Instruments
The Education for Happiness Suzuki Institute and we will be ONLINE again this year! There are several benefits to being online which we plan to take full advantage of:
- Greater accessibility to those who cannot travel
- Lower cost for families
- Less environmental impact
- Technological benefits of online learning, such as individualized parent coaching and low-stress learning environment
This five-day Virtual Suzuki Institute is designed to help students and families develop the social, emotional, and technological skills needed to thrive in any learning environment while deepening their musical studies and building personal connections with other families from all over the world. Traditional Suzuki Institute offerings such as master classes, group classes, parent education, and teacher enrichment will be offered for violin and viola along with activities intended to enhance well-being and balance. Our mission is to nourish Suzuki students and parents, foster compassion and connectivity, and to infuse joy into our Suzuki world and community at large.
Our 2022 theme is “The Practice Wheel” and with a focus on Parent-Child Practice Coaching:
- Creating a home environment that pulls for willingness
- Staying connected during practicing
- Nurturing the Parent-Child Relationship
- Developing strategies for teamwork, cooperation, and joy in home practicing
