Event Description

**Supplementary repertoire can expand a student’s musical palette through exploration of a wide diversity of composers, styles and time periods. This 10-hour class will explore little known gems as well as select standards of the viola repertoire with special attention to works by women composers. The course will cover not only solo repertoire, but also several duos—supplementary repertoire in group lessons can be a game changer! The group lesson repertoire will include several pieces that also work for mixed instrument group lessons. The discussion will include developmental levels, teaching points and technical aspects of the selected supplemental repertoire. Come join in the exploration of the wide range of viola repertoire available for us to enjoy!
