Additional Schedule Information

Violin Unit 1 training will span both weeks of ASI. Week 1 course hours run from July 19-23, and Week 2 will run from July 26-30. Week 1 will be delivered online, and Week 2 will be offered in-person, if permitted by the University. When registering for the class, be advised that the course will pivot to an online modality for week 2 if necessary. Modality for Week 2 will be announced no later than April 2. Please note: registration fee is non-refundable, regardless of modality.

Prerequisite course:

Every Child Can!, or Filosofía

Audition: Violin Basic, or Violin Intermediate, or Violin Comprehensive, or Viola Basic, or Viola Intermediate, or Viola Comprehensive.

Deadline: All audition materials must be submitted by July 8 *
*A discounted Audition Fee applies if audition is submitted before May 23. If submitted within 8-weeks of the course start date, the regular audition fee will apply.

Nancy Lokken

Nancy Lokken directs Augsburg University Suzuki Talent Education in Minneapolis, MN. She studied with Dr. Suzuki in Japan and is an active teacher trainer throughout the US, Canada, and Latin America. She chaired the SAA Conference in 2002 and has served on Teacher Development Committees.
