Additional Schedule Information

Class time: Tuesdays and Thursdays 10am to 1pm over 5 weeks.
Consultations: Scheduled at a mutually convenient time.
Observations: 15 hours over the course of 6 weeks.

Prerequisite course:

Every Child Can!, or Filosofía

Audition: Piano Basic, or Piano Comprehensive.

Deadline: All audition materials must be submitted by January 30 *
*A discounted Audition Fee applies if audition is submitted before December 15. If submitted within 8-weeks of the course start date, the regular audition fee will apply.

Trainer Information

Aubrey Faith-Slaker

Aubrey Faith-Slaker , Nationally Certified Teacher of Music and Suzuki Piano Teacher Trainer, holds degrees in piano performance and piano pedagogy from the University of Illinois and Southern Methodist University, where she also studied organ and Music Therapy. Ms. Faith-Slaker has maintained teaching studios in Texas, Wyoming and Colorado. She has taught music theory, music history, chamber music, music appreciation and piano since 2000. Trained as a Suzuki pianist, she returned to teaching the Suzuki method in 2007 and currently teaches out of her home in Chicago and at the Music Institute of Chicago, offering private and group class instruction to children as young as three years old.
