Event Description

Every Child Can! logoEvery Child Can! an introductory course on the Suzuki philosophy and its application to education. For parents, teachers, prospective teachers and others, this course provides an inspiring, in-depth look at the Suzuki approach to teaching and learning. For teachers, ECC serves as the first course in the Suzuki Association of the Americas Teacher Development Program. To learn more, read about the ECC course and its guidelines.

Trainer Information

Abbey Hansen

Abbey Hansen serves as full-time faculty at the Cleveland Institute of Music serving both as the long-term cello teacher trainer for the Masters in Cello Performance and Suzuki Pedagogy degree, and as the head of Suzuki cello in the Sato Center for Suzuki Studies. Prior to teaching at CIM, Abbey spent 11 years teaching at the Music Institute of Chicago. An in-demand guest clinician, Abbey has taught and lectured at workshops and institutes throughout the United States. She has also performed in several chamber music ensembles in Chicago and Cleveland and has been featured in faculty and alumni recitals throughout the Midwest.
