Event Description

This course focuses on the importance of the Suzuki Parent, which is the responsibility of the Suzuki teacher. The teacher’s role is to encourage, train, motivate, support, and empathize with the Suzuki parent. The success of the student is directly dependent on the loving, patient, detailed, daily commitment of the parent in the practice time. The parent’s role is also to play the CD continually… quietly… in the home. The parent also has the responsibility to take detailed notes at the lesson. The teacher’s role in this is to be sure that the parent understands the assignment. The parent also makes a praactice chart at home after the lesson. The parent and child will practice with the outline of the practice chart. The teacher also has a role to regularly check in with the parent about how the home practice is going….. and then make suggestions that will help the parent. The teacher’s role is to help the Suzuki Parent catch the vision of the Suzuki philosophy and encourage the student throughout the details of the practice chart.
