Event Description

This course will be an exploration of teaching Pre-Twinkle cello. Emphasis on the following:
1) Learn how to be creative and come up with ideas suited for each student
2) Add more ideas to your Pre-TwinkleToolbox
3) Disuss questions that you submit ahead of time about Pre-Twinkle teaching
4) Analyze and discuss Twinkle Tube activities and other Pre-Twinkle resources.

Trainer Information

Alice Vierra

Alice Vierra is an SAA Registered Teacher Trainer. She received a B.M.E from the University of Iowa and a Master’s in performance from the University of Wisconsin. She recently moved to the Tucson area and is accepting new students. She taught cellists in her private studio of 25 students ages 4—17 in the Greater Washington DC area, and also taught at the Levine School. She is a past president of SAGWA, has served as cello coordinator for one of the SAA Conferences, and is a member of the Board of the Hans Kindler Cello Society. She is a registered teacher trainer for the SAA and has taught at many Workshops and Institutes across the United States. She played with the Fairfax Symphony and Washington Bach Consort.
