Event DescriptionEvery Child Can! an introductory course on the Suzuki philosophy and its application to education. For parents, teachers, prospective teachers and others, this course provides an inspiring, in-depth look at the Suzuki approach to teaching and learning. For teachers, ECC serves as the first course in the Suzuki Association of the Americas Teacher Development Program. To learn more, read about the ECC course and its guidelines.

Trainer Information
Sara Stephens Kotrba is a Suzuki Piano Teacher Trainer with the Suzuki Association of the Americas. She earned her bachelor of music and master of music degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. She has studied with Doris Harrel, Betty Mallard, David Renner, Kiyoshi Tamagawa, Sophia Gilson, Amanda Vick Lethco and Katherine Faricy. She has been teaching Suzuki piano since 1990. She was the piano co-chair for the 2022 SAA Conference. She is a past president of the Suzuki Association of Minnesota and current president of the Twin Cities Suzuki Piano Teachers’ Guild. She is the author of a blog about teaching, parenting, music and faith found at www.sarakotrbablog.com. She was a Suzuki Piano mom to her two children, Calvin and Mary, who are now studying music in college.
