Event Description

Every Child Can! logoEvery Child Can! an introductory course on the Suzuki philosophy and its application to education. For parents, teachers, prospective teachers and others, this course provides an inspiring, in-depth look at the Suzuki approach to teaching and learning. For teachers, ECC serves as the first course in the Suzuki Association of the Americas Teacher Development Program. To learn more, read about the ECC course and its guidelines.

Trainer Information

Geri Arnold

Geri Tata Arnold has been teaching Suzuki Method since 1972. A graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy, she holds both a Bachelors and Masters in Music from the University of Michigan. Her training in Suzuki Method was with leading experts from the U.S., and with Dr. Shinichi Suzuki in Japan.

Geri has served on both SAA and ASTA Boards of Directors. She was named MASTA’s Teacher of the Year in 1990. She received the National ASTA “Citation for Leadership & Merit” in 2005. Her students performed for the opening of the 2007 National ASTA Conference in Detroit, MI. and
are featured in the ASTA “Advocating for Strings” DVD. Awarded the 2012 “Career Achievement Award” from MASTA.

Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Geri and her husband Gary recently moved to Seattle, WA
